University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) was established in 2003 at Dehradun. It is affiliated with the University Grant Commission (UGC), IACBE (International Accreditation Council for Business Education), and many more. It offers numerous undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across its various schools, such as the School of Advanced Engineering, School of Computer Science, School of Business, School of Design, School of Law, School of Health Sciences and Technology, School of Modern Media, and School of Liberal Studies.

UPES offers 2+1,2+2 & 1+1 Global programmes in its academics through its International collaborations with 40+ countries, some are Singapore, Canada, Germany, Australia and many more.UPES is the only University in India that has started metaverse & web 3.0 in MBA.

UPES is spread over an area of 44 acres, providing world-class infrastructure with amenities like a central library, media labs, sports complex, a full wifi campus, separate hostels for boys and girls, hi-tech laboratories, and smart classrooms.
